Born and raised in Evanston, Illinois, Joseph Bricker is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree at the Juilliard School. In addition to his studies, he has performed with the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Symphony, New World Symphony, the Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet, and several others. In the summers, he has been awarded fellowships with the Verbier Festival Orchestra, Tanglewood Music Center, Pacific Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival.
Joe made his concerto debut in 2015 under Robert Hasty and the Skokie Valley Symphony Orchestra, and has since won competitions at the Aspen Music Festival (2016), National Public Radio’s “From the Top” (2015), WFMT’s “Introductions” (2015), the Discover National Chamber Music Competition (2015), and is the proud recipient of the 2017 Kerope Zildjian Scholarship. As an educator, he has been engaged as a Teaching Artist by the Juilliard School’s Music Advancement Program, Pre-College Division, the Aspen Music Festival, the People’s Music School, and the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras. He currently studies with Greg Zuber, and has previously studied with Patricia Dash.
